Thats the same one I have and my god the suction cup is terrible!!!
I also noticed it didn't like when I mounted it in the black sun guard on top of windshield so i had to lower it more.

Nor does mine...
Left it for maybe half an hour in -17C, took several minutes to get it going again.

Mine uses a double sided sticky pad. In the teens right now and it's still stuck firmly in place.

Same thing happened to me in the SL, and it was only around 25F.
My sister has the same camera I do, and she has one of these that just sits on her dashboard and the camera is on it. Camera hasn't moved, and hasn't had any trouble. The magnum has a suction mount that's stuck to the dashboard that I can use (since I get that back today or tomorrow), but I definitely prefer behind the mirror and out of sight.
Have you tried cleaning the inside of the windshield with windex and then cleaning the suction mount as well before trying to put it back on? Russia seems to not have too much trouble, and I'm pretty sure they laugh at our "low" temperatures on a regular basis.

my suction cup seems to be working fine. But for some reason when I turn on my car and it automatically powers on it automatically zooms into is full of setting and stays there. No matter what I do zooming out or not it zooms back all the way in and beeps.

That's so weird.... I literally just ordered that exact camera off of Amazon before coming here and seeing this.

I use my GoPro with one of these mounted to the windshield (installed during the summer though).

Russians should have a working solution for this problem.

I'm probably just going to use the physical clamp that came with it even though it sits lower than I like. The rubber is literally rock hard. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work again even in warmer temps. I did get a year out of it though.

What dash cam? I accidently had mine zoom in all the way while adjusting it one day.

Yeah it looks done. Mine came with a physical clamp if I can find it.

You'll like it, minus the suction.

This one. It works ok I guess. But so far every time it's been really cold it does the zoom thing.

I would contact the seller. That's really cheap though, I guess you can't be too picky.
